86al-ṬāriqThe Night-Comerسُورَةُ الطارق

By the sky and that which arrives [and pulsates] at night!

And would you know what arrives at night?

It is the heavenly body that penetrates [the tangible and the intangible]:

[For] no living being has been left unattended.

Let the social being explore the elements out of which he was created:

He was created from gushing fluid(s),

Coming out of [man’s] firmness [erection] and [woman’s] receptivity [distention].

Certainly, He [who thus created him to begin with] is most capable of causing him to rebound [into life again],

On a Day when everything [that was in worldly life] secret will be put to the test [of accountability],

And he [this social being] will have neither power nor supporter [on that Day].

By the galaxy and its redevelopment,

And the earth and its profusion! —

Surely, this [Qur’an] is the last word [on such matters]:

Not a frivolous [book].

Behold, they [who take issue with Allah], indisputably, plot and conspire;

And I [the Almighty] plan and project [and My plan always overwhelms theirs],

[So] give them — the deniers of Our power and authority — a protracted hiatus.
