وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيۡتُونِ
By the fig and the olive,
95al-TīnThe Figسُورَةُ التين
Makkan · 8 ayat · 28th in order of revelation
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَطُورِ سِينِينَ
And Mount Sinai,
وَهَٰذَا ٱلۡبَلَدِ ٱلۡأَمِينِ
And this impregnable land [Makkah]!
لَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ فِيٓ أَحۡسَنِ تَقۡوِيمٖ
Truly, We created the social being in the best adjustment,
ثُمَّ رَدَدۡنَٰهُ أَسۡفَلَ سَٰفِلِينَ
And thereafter We demote him to the lowest of postures [or status] —
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَلَهُمۡ أَجۡرٌ غَيۡرُ مَمۡنُونٖ
Except for those who commit themselves [to Allah] and do what is right: for theirs is a reward without derogation!
فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعۡدُ بِٱلدِّينِ
What is it, then, that causes you to [try to] prove this dīn to be false?
أَلَيۡسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحۡكَمِ ٱلۡحَٰكِمِينَ
Is not Allah the most just of judges?
