Extolling Allah in His exceptional power is everything in the heavens and on earth: for He is the Valued Magnificent, the Endlessly Wise.

O you who have committed themselves [to Allah’s power and authority]! Why do you say what you do not do?

Most obnoxious in the sight of Allah is for you to say what you do not fulfill.

Indeed, Allah loves those who engage [the enemy] in battle on His [divinely defined] course as one integrated rank — as though they were a building, firm and unwavering.

Bear in mind Mūsā as he said to his people, “O my people! Why do you mistreat me [whenever I advise you of a demanding obligation], the while you know that I am Allah’s Apostle sent [by Him] to you? And so when they swerved [from the course of action outlined to them from on high] Allah let their hearts swerve [from His truth and justice]: for Allah does not guide people who are degenerate.

And bear in mind ‘Īsā, the son of Maryam, as he said, “O Children of Israel [who presume to be superior to others]! Behold, I am truly Allah’s apostle [sent] to you, confirming what is before me of the Torah and breaking the good news of an apostle who shall come after me, whose name will be Aḥmad.” But when he [whose coming ‘Īsā had foretold] came to them with all verification of truth and justice, they said, “This [so-called scripture of his] is wizardry — plain and simple!”

And who could be more in the wrong than he who designs lies and attributes them to Allah, the while he is being called upon to draw near to Allah by acquiescing to Him? But Allah does not guide people who do wrong [to themselves].

They work toward extinguishing Allah’s light with their mouths [and speechifying] — but Allah shall finish spreading His light [in all its fullness], however disgusted the God-deniers may become.

He it is who sent His Apostle with guidance and the theological ideology of truth and justice so that He may eventually have it prevail over all [man-made] systems of belief, however hateful that may be to those who [try to] eclipse Allah by adopting other deities and authorities.

O you who are [divinely] committed! Shall I point out to you a business that will save you from a painful infliction?

You are to [responsibly] commit yourselves to Allah and His Apostle with your moneys and with your lives, and to bring to bear your utmost effort on a [well-defined divine] course leading to Allah: that is better for you if you only knew [how profitable this is].

[Should you do so], He will forgive you your wrongdoings and will admit you into gardens with rivers flowing underneath and into enjoyable mansions in [those] gardens of perpetual bliss: that is the success story of all time.

[And by the way] there is another thing you treasure: a victory from Allah [in this world] and a near breakthrough [that will come in the aftermath of your military sacrifices]: and [O Prophet] break this good news to all divinely committed muslims.

O you who are committed to Allah [as the only power there is and the only authority there is]! Be Allah’s helpers, reminiscent of ‘Īsā, son of Maryam, who said to the disciples [of his], “Who are my helpers [for the sake of Allah]?” — whereupon the transparent disciples replied, “We are Allah’s helpers.” Following that, a group from the Children of Israel committed themselves while another group expressed its rejection. Consequently, We gave assistance to those who committed themselves [to Us] against their enemy: and they became the ones to prevail.
