وَٱلۡعَصۡرِ
By the depletion of time!
103al-‘AṣrThe Depletion of Timeسُورَةُ العصر
Makkan · 3 ayat · 13th in order of revelation
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لَفِي خُسۡرٍ
In very truth, the social being [man] is in a state of loss —
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِٱلصَّبۡرِ
Except for those who make a secure commitment [to Allah, demonstrating that by] doing what is right [rightful, and righteous] and jointly counseling for truth and justice, and jointly counseling for patience and forbearance.
