بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Mercy-Giving, the Very Merciful,
1al-FātiḥahThe Premier (Primary, Foremost)سُورَةُ الفاتحة
Makkan · 7 ayat · 5th in order of revelation
ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
[All] thanks and appreciation are due to Allah [alone], the Sustainer of all the worlds [with their biospheres, domains, earths, and humanities],
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
The Mercy Giving, the Very Merciful,
مَٰلِكِ يَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ
The Domain-Lord of the Day of Judgement!
إِيَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِينُ
You alone do we conform to; and You alone do we ask for help.
ٱهۡدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ
Guide us to the straightway [throughout our life long efforts] —
صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غَيۡرِ ٱلۡمَغۡضُوبِ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
The way of those upon whom You have bestowed Your blessings, not those who have incurred [your] wrath, nor those who go the wrong way.
